1. Movement Skills and Principles
|
|
a. Theory of movement
|
Give students an organizer in which movement skills, and movement principles. As a class (in the gym), complete the organizer, showing actual examples of each.

b. Movement skills assessment
|
Provide a description sheet of five movement skills assessment activities (agility, balance, coordination, reaction time, and power). Complete an organizer which gives examples of where these skills are important.
Assess movement skills in pairs using a record sheet. Complete a reflection sheet on movement skills and where to improve.

2. Invasion/Territory Game: Floor Hockey
|

|
Each class has the following format:
(1) complete/review part of Sport File
(2) gym routine
(3) skills development
(4) game play
(1) Use a generic Sport File for Invasion/Territory games, with two parts. Part (1) is a list of strategies and tactics, where specific examples of how these tactics are put into play in this sport must be given using words and/or diagrams. Part (2) is a space where rules of the sport can be filled in as they are discussed.
(2) Gym routines (warm-up, short run, stretch, long run, strength).
(3) Skills development with opportunity to practise floor hockey skills for each of the three movement skills categories (locomotor, stability, and manipulation). At least one other floor hockey specific skill will be developed. After two opportunities to practise each of these skills students will be assessed on their skill development.
(4) Opportunity to play the game.

3. Net/Wall Game: Volleyball
|
|
|
Each class has the following format:
